THE FEATURE FILM DEBUT FROM DIRECTOR STEN HELLEVIG MIGHT AS WELL BE THE NEXT BIG THING FOR OUR YOUNG ONES.
It is not often we have the pleasure of diving into a Norwegian cinematic world of music. In Dryads, the sound design is of outstanding quality and the soundtrack – well, the soundtrack based on original Dryads music from Thom Hell and Marius Christiansen is the best ever! The way the song Mr. Old Guy – or the much more describing title Rome Paris Home – is used throughout the film, never stops to fascinate at any level. It communicates in ways understandable and familiar for teenagers, young adults and even us – the parents. As soon as we leave the cinema, we want more of the songs we experienced in the darkness and are even a bit disappointed to only find one track on Spotify. Which is a very good sign. In addition, the boys are friendly, the girls are many and the iconic and edgy vocalist Henriette aka Iben Akerlie, certainly don’t cry. A great film from a huge team of co-producers and partners: Online & VFX by Mathias Theissen and Haavard Albertsen. Workflow & VFX by Bengt Ove Sannes. Post produced by Ole-Arild Svenden & Lene Cathrine Albertsen.
