THE SHORTLISTS FOR THE MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS 2011 ARE NOW RELEASED. A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NORWEGIAN NOMINEE, THE SINGER-SONGWRITER LASSE PASSAGE AND THE TEAM BEHIND THE MUSIC VIDEO SAY SAY SAY:
The directors Lars Åndheim (also editor), Christoffer Lossius, photographer and editor Espen Gulbrandsen and the production company Filmfaktisk. The Hocus Focus team is both happy and proud to have been involved and coloured such a quality project. Mathias Theissen worked together with the directors on the important colour grading, to create the ambiguous soft and dirty look. This look was chosen to bring forward and complement the span that already existed between the acoustic music and the at times very disturbing and violent imagery. The video was post produced by Henriette Carlsen and Hip Hurrah for you all! The MVA is the UK’s premiere music video awards celebration. Now in its fourth year, it takes place in London the 8th of November 2011. The event celebrates the best work in British and international music videos with a range of more than 20 awards. Other nominees include artists like Adele, Bruno Mars, Kylie Minogue, Mark Ronson and Scissor Sisters. Cross our fingers and hope to die – this is very exciting.
