COMING UP: IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET HIGHER? HIGHER IS THE NEW SINGLE FROM THE HOT, HOT, HOT TAIO CRUZ FEATURING THE MUSICAL PHENOMENON, ICON, ETERNALLY YOUNG AND FABULOUS KYLIE MINOGUE. TO DIRECT THIS DUO MADE IN HEAVEN IN AN EVEN HOTTER MUSIC VIDEO, WE HAVE NO OTHER THAN MR. ALEX HERRON.

Hocus Focus is very proud and fortunate to be involved in a production of such a scale with an amazingly skilled director and his stars. The shooting of the video took place in London and our own Ove Kenneth Nilsen is responsible for the editing. Not by far his coolest editing job ever. It is certainly not everyday business-as-usual for the by now blazed Haavard Albertsen either, to get the change of doing beauty work, VFX and finishing on Kylie Minogue. Herron has previously worked together with Hocus Focus on several music videos from Taio Cruz and hopefully there are more to come. We love every minute of it. Have a look, be impressed and watch this space! Production by Pulse Films.

IT IS ALREADY A PHENOMENON. THE NEW PROMOTIONAL FILM FOR PLAYSTATION 3 GADGETS IS AWESOME. WITH ITS LIGHT BULB HEADED MOVEMEN, TAKING A RANDOM PARTY THEY FOUND ON FACEBOOK TO A NEW LEVEL (OF GAMING).

The message from the ministry of move is clear: Join the movement and get the MoveMen to your party at facebook.com/playstationmovenorge. The campaign is even noticed abroad. As Donald Melanson is writing in Engadget (see www.engadget.com): “…it looks like the company’s (Sony) entered an entirely different realm in Norway. It’s just rolled out a new ad campaign for the Norwegian launch of the PlayStation Move that feature the “MoveMen,” a dynamic, all-seeing duo that watches for a lack of partying and delivers the Move to those in need. The question is: who moves the MoveMen?” Excellent and creative work from the advertising agency Suddenly and the production company Film Faktisk with director Lars Åndheim and producer Bjørn Glestad. Post-production by Hocus Focus: Ole-Arild Svendsen (producer) and Mathias Theissen (VFX and colour grading).

WHAT AN INVENTIVE, HIGH-TECHNOLOGICAL FEAST OF A PRODUCTION. THE LATEST FILM FROM NORSK TIPPING IS ROLLING ON TV 2 THESE DAYS AND IS INTRODUCING THE LOTTO FESTIVAL. IT WILL BE KEEPING UP OUR LEVEL OF EXCITEMENT IN THE PERIOD FROM THE 18TH TO THE 27TH OF SEPTEMBER.

Productionwise, the film was a demanding process with an impressing set, pushing Norwegian limits. Hocus Focus partook in the pre-production planning and Tor Øra (3D) was on location during the shoot (photographed by Simon Hawken), supervising that everything went as planned. And of course it did, with such a bunch of professional and high quality people from Trøbbel: Director Alexander Kayiambakis, producer Hugo Hagemann Føsker and production manager Miriam Pedersen. Hocus Focus was given great confidence, which is much appreciated. With the world as our working space (sounded great), we got help all the way from New Zealand. Carl Ayala did the rotoscoping of a total. To sum up, a great production to work on AND the outcome is excellent. The team from Hocus Focus was managed by producer Lene Cathrine Albertsen: Martin Stoltz (editing), Haavard Albertsen (visual FX and colour grading) and Preben Grieg-Halvorsen (sound design). TO WATCH A FOOTBALL MATCH LIKE NORWAY-PORTUGAL IN HD QUALITY FROM THE SAFE AND COMFORTABLE CORNER OF YOUR SOFA, IS ALMOST LIKE BEING THERE. BUT JUST ALMOST.

Canal Digital admits that their broadcasts are not better than the real thing. So, in cooperation with their long-time companion TRY, the program provider has made an excellent commercial promoting a brand new competition. Are you as sharp in your knowledge about football as the images are in HD, your sofa can actually be picked up and brought to the grand Ullevaal Stadium. Together with two of your friends. What a thrilling idea – Canal Digital only competition is real life! This film is brilliant all over from idea, content and voice-over to the images, characters, pace and look. Director Martin Engh and producer Jakob Thomessen from Animasjonsdepartementet (previous Bang Bang) are doing really well on their own four feet. Post production by Hocus Focus and producer Lene Cathrine Albertsen: Colour grading by Mathias Theissen, VFX by Bengt Ove Sannes and sound design by Preben Grieg-Halvorsen.
