A TREASURE OF THE SEASON: THE JEWELLERY FROM BJØRKLUND IS SURROUNDED BY THE AMAZING COLOURS OF AUTUMN LEAVES AND THE VERY PARTICULAR LIGHT COMING THROUGH THE TREE BRANCHES. BJØRKLUND, IN CLOSE COOPERATION WITH DIRECTOR AND PRODUCER JOON BRANDT, HAS REALLY BEEN IN THE ROMANTIC MOOD WHILE CREATING THIS NEW COMMERCIAL FILM.



The sense of calm, balanced, happy and in-love feeling of the images is rendered concrete by two beautiful people and the slogan “Everybody deserves to shine a little” – so lovely. The feminine part of Hocus Focus are not sure what they want the most: The movie-like romance with pirouettes in the sun, or the pieces of jewellery ranging from golden hearts to watches. Bjørklund aimed with this film to go back to a more natural look and surroundings after a few campaigns devoted to 3D. Our editor Ove Kenneth Nilsen had loads of great material to choose from and he had to make some difficult choices. Haavard Albertsen, also Hocus Focus, coloured and brought forward the already warm yellow, orange, brown and green nuances of fall shot by photographer Jens Ramborg. Music by Marius Ergo, Øyedrops. A REAL FISH SOUP WITH A CAPITAL R TAKES TIME TO MAKE. THIS YOU MUST KNOW. THAT IS WHY ONE OF NORWAY’S LARGEST PROVIDER OF FOOD – STABBURET, FOUNDED IN 1943 – HAS MADE SURE THAT ALL OF US ALL-TOO-BUSY PEOPLE ALSO CAN ENJOY FISH SOUP.

By doing all the work for us, of course: Cutting the vegetables, cutting the fish and pouring the wine. The stroke of genius is to freeze and dry it, for so to split the good stuff in a double bag. One for the fluid and the other for the rest of the ingredient. And there you have it, an excellent fish soup. It is only for you to pick it up in the store and it is ready to be cooked with a little milk. The production company Fredrik Fiction has produced this tasty commercial, directed by Stig Svendsen. A NEW AND FUNNY CAMPAIGN FROM HöRMANN INDUSTRI- OG GARASJEPORTER (INDUSTRIAL- AND GARAGE DOORS).

With three short films, all gone in 15 seconds, has director Kaveh Tehrani managed to create great humour out of sliding doors – well done. We must agree with the vocal of the country-inspired song, where the lyrics goes something like this: “... we just can’t get enough”. And we can not get enough of the tiny, detailed worlds inside of the garages. Worlds in small spaces and with activities that no one could have imagined would be there, are revealed as the doors slide open: The world of the golfers, the ice-skater and the vine producers. The small glimpses of strange worlds are followed by the perfect slogan: UNCOMPROMISING PASSION, UNCOMPROMISING QUALITY. NOT ONLY HAS FINN.NO (EST. IN 2000) BECOME THE BIGGEST MARKETPLACE IN NORWAY. NOT ONLY HAS IT BEEN SELECTED TO THE BEST WORKPLACE IN THE COUNTRY IN 2011. THE COMPANY ALSO MANAGES (WITH A LITTLE HELP) TO CREATE GREAT COMMERCIALS.

Pretty impressive. The director duo Thomas Løberg and Bengt Gabrielsen have previously worked together with the VGTV-series “The Shit”, and the have chosen to continue the great collaboration AND the focus on humour. These warm, pleasant and charming films from Finn.no certainly show that their efforts have paid off. The responsible production company is Seefood with Kristian Hajdu producing the project as the brand new head of the new advertising department. It is a great team to work with, and we at Hocus Focus are already looking forward to get our hands on the new season 2 of the television series NISSENE PÅ LÅVEN (=The Santa Clauses on the Barn) come fall. MOTION BLUR HAS MUCH ON ITS PLATE THESE DAYS, AND COMING UP IS ANOTHER FILM FOR THE PROVIDER OF EVERYDAY FOOD, RIMI.

The production company’s new director Sten Hellevik is back home from his permanent residence in Los Angeles, and he is now doing several projects here in Norway. To everyone’s joy and pleasure, we might add. This film is complementing the recent branding film Hocus Focus did together with Motion Blur and Johan Tappert (have a look at Rimi Kindergarten Hero). In the same spirit, however with his own touch, director Hellevik has created a film for the new Rimi APP. It all seems easy like a child’s play. However we can assure you it is many hours of online work behind the smoothness of this film, as presented on our TV screens. The 1 minute presentation of Rimi + works more like a user manual than an ordinary commercial. The only difference is that instead of getting bored or terrified, you want to start using the app and buy at lot of stuff you probably do not even need at your nearest Rimi store. In other words, great work especially by director Hellevik and the VFX and online team Haavard Albertsen and Bengt Ove Sannes.
