COMING UP: A GROUNDBREAKING AND EXCITING DOCUMENTARY PROJECT ENTITLED 300 SEKUNDER (= 300 SECONDS). A NEW CONSTELLATION HAS MADE THESE FILMS POSSIBLE.

The project is financially supported by the Norwegian Film Institute, produced by the production company Indiefilm and distributed on VG's WebTV-channel VGTV. The seven well established directors; Even Benestad, Erling Borgen, Tommy Gulliksen, August B. Hanssen, Solveig Melkeraaen, Thor Bekkavik and Kenneth Elvebakk, have created six individual and separate short documentaries of five minutes. Watching one of them on a small laptop screen is very promising for the whole project. Thor Bekkavik’s documentary is about children and gaming, a controversial and much debated topic. However this time, four boys playing the war game and bringing the game into the playground, are given a voice. They are questioning their parents and other grown-ups negativity and fear of violent games, while giving us a hundred reasons to be worried. Without moralising, the film hits you in the stomach and it is a real pleasure to experience quality programming created for a web channel. This is a new platform for Norwegian documetarists, and the first time NFI grants production support to a series on WebTV. We are cheering along producer Carsten Aanonsen from Indiefilm and the rest of the initiators. Post produced by Ole-Arild Svendsen, Henriette Carlsen and Hocus Focus: Online and colour grading by Mathias Theissen, sound design by Preben Grieg-Halvorsen and Johannes Ringen.

COOP PRIX IS REPEATING PREVIOUS YEARS SUCCESS WITH COMMERCIAL FILMS INCLUDING PEOPLE WE KNOW AND THOSE WE DON’T KNOW. ALL OF THEM HAVE ONE THING IN COMMON: THEY ARE MISUNDERSTANDING THE ONE-FOR-TWO DEAL THAT THE COOP PRIX STORES HAVE ON OFFER.

Coop Prix is repeating previous years success with commercial films including people we know and those we don’t know. All of them have one thing in common: They are misunderstanding the one-for-two deal that the Coop Prix stores have on offer. We all remember Anna Anka and her taking the cut in costs for a celebrity-treatment. The same goes for Ole Lukkøye, who thinks he still scares us to death with his right hook. These are really embarrassing and uncomfortable situations, that makes us sweat. Now the turn has come to the young, sweet and often challenged Rachel Nordtømme. As many times before, the former girlfriend of Petter Northug is making it hard to sit still in a chair and watch. Hence, there is no doubt that also the new commercial works – at least at Hocus Focus. Director Steinar Borge is doing a great job navigating the project with a calmness and a warm humour. The production company is Trøbbel film and the producer is Miriam Pedersen Eeg. The commercial is shot on RED epic, and post produced by Henriette Carlsen and Hocus Focus: Edited by Henrik Berge, online and colour grading by Bengt Ove Sannes. and sound design by Preben Grieg-Halvorsen. We are looking forward to more films to come!

THE SECOND WEB-SERIES FROM FINN.NO IS NOW ROLLING: FINNLAND... OG STRAND. THIS TIME AROUND, THE WINNERS FROM THE FIRST SERIES ARE JOINING IN CO-HOSTING THE WEB-SHOW.

The charming couple Michael and Johanne is split into actively taking part on two different teams for each stop. Travelling from the North to the South of Norway, the participants are competing on the basis of various problems they wish to renovate, fix or repair. And as Finn.no can help them with, of course. One way of winning is for instance to write the best song about the problem – oh yes. The problem might be a bizarre one like getting an electric shock each time the water is turned on, or simply a lack of bathroom. Hocus Focus is responsible for the post production from A to Å of this series, and we have been enjoying the funny real life characters and an excellent planning of the project. The production company is Seefood TV, with the directors Thomas Løberg and Bengt Gabrielsen. The producer is Kristian Hajdu and the post producer is Henriette Carlsen and Hocus Focus: Edited by Henrik Berge, online and colour grading by Mathias Theissen and sound design by Johannes Ringen and Preben Grieg-Halvorsen.

A TREASURE OF THE SEASON: THE JEWELLERY FROM BJØRKLUND IS SURROUNDED BY THE AMAZING COLOURS OF AUTUMN LEAVES AND THE VERY PARTICULAR LIGHT COMING THROUGH THE TREE BRANCHES. BJØRKLUND, IN CLOSE COOPERATION WITH DIRECTOR AND PRODUCER JOON BRANDT, HAS REALLY BEEN IN THE ROMANTIC MOOD WHILE CREATING THIS NEW COMMERCIAL FILM.

The sense of calm, balanced, happy and in-love feeling of the images is rendered concrete by two beautiful people and the slogan “Everybody deserves to shine a little” – so lovely. The feminine part of Hocus Focus are not sure what they want the most: The movie-like romance with pirouettes in the sun, or the pieces of jewellery ranging from golden hearts to watches. Bjørklund aimed with this film to go back to a more natural look and surroundings after a few campaigns devoted to 3D. Our editor Ove Kenneth Nilsen had loads of great material to choose from and he had to make some difficult choices. Haavard Albertsen, also Hocus Focus, coloured and brought forward the already warm yellow, orange, brown and green nuances of fall shot by photographer Jens Ramborg. Music by Marius Ergo, Øyedrops. Sound mix by Preben Grieg-Halvorsen and post produced by Henriette Carlsen. Are you in the mood for romance, so enjoy this film and be inspired.

A REAL FISH SOUP WITH A CAPITAL R TAKES TIME TO MAKE. THIS YOU MUST KNOW. THAT IS WHY ONE OF NORWAY’S LARGEST PROVIDER OF FOOD – STABBURET, FOUNDED IN 1943 – HAS MADE SURE THAT ALL OF US ALL-TOO-BUSY PEOPLE ALSO CAN ENJOY FISH SOUP.

By doing all the work for us, of course: Cutting the vegetables, cutting the fish and pouring the wine. The stroke of genius is to freeze and dry it, for so to split the good stuff in a double bag. One for the fluid and the other for the rest of the ingredient. And there you have it, an excellent fish soup. It is only for you to pick it up in the store and it is ready to be cooked with a little milk. The production company Fredrik Fiction has produced this tasty commercial, directed by Stig Svendsen. Post production by Ole-Arild Svendsen and Hocus Focus: Edited by Thomas Løvig, colour graded by Haavard Albertsen and VFX by Bengt Ove Sannes. Sound design by Johannes Ringen. Enjoy!
