COMING UP: A NEW CAMPAIGN OF 2012 FROM THE NORWEGIAN DIRECTORATE FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING (=UTDANNINGSDIREKTORATET), RELEASED THE 3RD OF SEPTEMBER. IT IS ALL ABOUT BEING YOUNG AND NEEDING A FRIEND OR TWO.
There are few things in life as touching as happy children and as vulnerable as children’s sad eyes. The beatifully coloured film almost radiate warmth and compassion, as we experience the contrast between the two – the happy and many, and the sad and lonely. Accompanied by the fragile voice of the MGP Jr. winner of last year Sval Rosenløw Eeg and her insightful lyrics of TRENGER DEG (= Need you), the film communicates its very important message in a brilliant way: Children learn friendship from adults. It is parents and adults reponsibility to initiate friendship and build bridges between their children. The film is part of this years preventive anti-bullying campaign and the goal is to create local engagement in each and every municipality in our country. It is of course no coincidence that the campaign is released at the beginning of a new school year, a time of the year we know many, many children dread. So, this is an important film which serves its cause right, from the production company Small Film and director Mikkel Ohrvik. Produced by Elisabeth Enstad, post produced by Jon Anders Klausen and Hocus Focus: Editing by Thomas Løvig, online and colour grading by Haavard Albertsen. Sound design by Preben Grieg-Halvorsen.
