MORE COSINESS ON A FRIDAY FROM KIMS POTATO CHIPS. NOBODY MASTERS THE ART OF BRINGING THE REALITY OF EVERYDAY PEOPLE IN NORWAY TO THE SCREEN LIKE DIRECTOR JENS LIEN. WITH THE NEW COMMERCIAL FROM KIMS, HE CONFIRMS EXACTLY THIS.
Young and old, unknown and known (?!) stars like Chand and the bundle of charm from Tangerudbakken are singing seemingly from the bottom of their heart: There will be no good times, joy or family happiness if the potato chips from Kims is forgotten... on a Friday. The selection of participants is impressive, representable (yes, I believe so) and of the highest quality. The grown-up boys in the sauna, the colourful girls in the kitchen, the kids in a day-care centre and the nuclear family – we are all included in this rather questionable tradition that takes place on an ordinary Norwegian Friday. Lien has even made room for posters from his latest feature film ”Sønner av Norge” (= Sons of Norway) behind the very happy immigrant family from Pakistan. This is good stuff from the production company Einar Film og Fortellinger and the producers Guri Neby and Therese Bøhn. Post production by Jon Anders Klausen and Hocus Focus: Edited by Ove Kenneth Nilsen, online and colour grading by Haavard Albertsen. Sound design by Johannes Ringen. Enjoy!
