HERE IT IS: THE MUSIC VIDEO FROM TEAM ME – THE BAND THAT WON THE NORWEGIAN GRAMMY (=SPELLEMANNPRISEN) FOR BEST POP GROUP 2011.
The debut album ”To the Treetops” has been given a lot of attention, and sent the band touring in our long stretched country. However, also international touring, we must add. A tour in Europe and warming up for The Wombats (Techno Fan, remember?) is really not so shabby. Well, back to the music video ”Show me” from the production company Apparatet. Several locations are used to get the specific feeling of calmness and the sense of nostalgia: Can it be Folkemuseet in Oslo, or is it all in Elverum? What we do know is that several homes of the band members grandparents are involved, and they certainly live in Elverum and nearby – the home of their childhood. How very Norwegian: The old interior of timber, the lusekofte (=knitted Norwegian sweater), the national costumes (=bunad). So introverted, serious and silent. Except from the splendid, beautiful and harmonic music, of course. All the boys do are eating cake and pizza, drinking coffee and milk, until a butterfly walks in. How very strange… and fascinating. The video was shot in two days and edited by the band’s own Simen and Synne, who also are the creators of TEAM ME’s artwork in general. Post produced by Lene Cathrine Albertsen and Hocus Focus. Colour grading by Mathias Theissen. Enjoy a lesson in Norwegian cultural history.
