CARVE VISAGE IS THE PERFECT SONG TO CREATE AN ABSORBING AND MAGICAL MUSIC VIDEO OUT OF. THIS IS AN EXCITING COOPERATION PROJECT, INDEED.
The talented director Stian Smestad and Motion Blur have gathered the best post production people in the business, and Hocus Focus is very happy to be part of that selected crowd. The song from the band Rumble In Rhodos, out touring in Norway to the end of October, is divided into four epochs, covering a boy’s lifeline. To the fabulous images shot by Jakob Ingimundarson, even the titles are super cool, much thanks to Eirik Fjærdingstad. Part 1: INITIATION - from the 60s, Part 2: JOURNEY TO THE SOFT INSULATED DAYS - of the 70s, Part 3: AVENGENCE OF THE WITCH – in the 80s and lastly, Part 4: TRANSCENDENCE - with wings on. Øyedrops with Mads Hornsletten and Steffen Sæter-Larsen have worked with Part 1, 2 and 4, whereas AKFF with Leif Henning and Christian Mona have created the blurry days of the 70s. Kjetil Nystuen is responsible for the Mattpaint to Transcendence and the contribution from Hocus Focus is compositing of all the flame shots (and that is a lot!), grading and finishing. Haavard Albertsen has graded the last sequence and Bengt Ove Sannes has worked day and night to make the music video look as good as it actually does. Post produced by Henriette Carlsen.
